Cycling in the Lusa­t­ian Lake­land

From open-cast min­ing to lake­land par­adise – the Lusa­t­ian Lake­land is no ordi­nary set­ting for a cycle tour. The land­scape is under­go­ing a spec­tac­u­lar trans­for­ma­tion, from coal seams to idyl­lic expanses of water with mari­nas and bright sandy beaches. This is a unique process, some­thing you don’t get the chance to wit­ness very often. And it’s what makes this region a very spe­cial loca­tion for a cycling hol­i­day or a bike tour. 

The Lusa­t­ian Lake­land has suit­able routes and facil­i­ties for all types of tour­ing cyclist, whether you’re on a long-dis­tance cycling tour, a fixed-base tour or just on a day trip. Choose between seven long-dis­tance routes, eleven loop trails around lakes and a dozen themed day tours. All paths are wide, most are sur­faced and they are pre­dom­i­nantly flat.
