Bathing Area at the Gräben­dor­fer Strand leisure com­plex

The beat­h­ing area on the south shore in Red­dern is embed­ded in a near-nat­ural shore fringe, nat­ural, merges directly into a slop­ing sun­bathing lawn and is unguarded. The entrance to the water is rel­a­tively shal­low. The sun­bathing lawn sep­a­rates the approx­i­mately 50-metre-wide nat­ural beat­h­ing area from the cir­cu­lar hik­ing trail and the rest of the recre­ational area. The sail­ing and water sports com­mu­nity "Gräben­dor­fer See" e.V. and the fish­ing club Altdöbern e.V. have their domi­cile in the adja­cent area to the west and east, respec­tively. The "Gräben­dor­fer Strand leisure facil­ity" has been offi­cially open since 2015. There is a camp­site, a play­ground and a pub­lic san­i­tary facil­ity.

Access is via the state road 52 from Drebkau/Casel or Calau or via the dis­trict road 6633 (state road 53) from Altdöbern (Sen­ften­berg). There is a bus con­nec­tion (609: Calau - Mis­sen - Vetschau) with a stop in the dis­trict of Red­dern (2km walk to the beach).
Imme­di­ately after the exit from the Lan­desstraße 52 - directly at the entrance to the recre­ation area - there is a pub­lic, free car park with approx. 90 park­ing spaces.
Adja­cent to the car park is the area of the camp­ing and car­a­van site "Camp­ing Gräben­dor­fer See". Pedal boats and stand-up pad­dling boards can also be rented here.
